Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated UI/UX Designer Intern to join the Digital Media & Creative Design team and support the development of inclusive and impactful digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the web development team to design user-friendly interfaces for nonprofit programs and platforms.
• Participate in the project handoff process and learn documentation best practices.
• Assist in the development of intuitive layouts and user flows for public-facing and internal systems.
• Work closely with graphic designers, SEO managers, and cybersecurity advisors to ensure alignment of user experience, branding, and security.
• Attend team meetings and communicate project status effectively with stakeholders.
• Gain exposure to WordPress, Figma, and project management tools.
• Engage in team-building activities and cross-functional collaborations.

Qualifications

• Currently a senior or graduate student in UI/UX Design, Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related program.
• Passionate about nonprofit causes, accessibility, and clean design.

Required Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, WordPress, or Sketch is a plus.
• Eager to learn and open to feedback.

CPT/OPT Eligibility & Compliance

For CPT, students must obtain authorization from their academic institution before starting the internship. For OPT, students must have received their Employment Authorization Document (EAD), and the role must be related to their degree program.
