Job Description
The Human Services Coordinator Intern will support community members and families by assisting with client support, resource referrals, service coordination, and program documentation. This role is ideal for someone interested in human services, social work, case management, nonprofit programs, and community outreach.
Responsibilities
Provide community resource referrals to individuals and families
Maintain and update resource databases and service directories
Support client intake, follow-up, and service coordination
Assist with community services programs and outreach activities
Help connect clients with appropriate support services and partner organizations
Maintain accurate records, notes, and program documentation
Support communication with community partners and service providers
Assist with identifying gaps in available resources and recommending improvements
Handle client information with confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
Background or interest in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Community Services, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in nonprofit work, community support, and client services
Ability to work respectfully with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Duration & Commitment
Minimum of 15-20 hours per week for 12-16 weeks, with a flexible start date. Total of 180 volunteer hours required to qualify for an internship certificate.
